Project Challenges

Game Kastle required a robust and user-friendly eCommerce platform to meet its complex needs. Developing the website from the ground up posed the following challenges:

Customizing Headers and Footers

Game Kastle needed flexible headers and footers tailored to different pages. This required a modular design that allowed for seamless updates without affecting the user experience.

Inventory Management Across Locations

With inventory spread across multiple locations, the platform needed to track stock levels accurately and display location-specific inventory details.

Map Integration on Product Pages

Displaying inventory locations dynamically on a map for specific products required integrating accurate location data for a seamless user experience.

To address these challenges, we implemented the following solutions:

  • Customizing Headers and Footers Utilized Shopify’s section architecture to allow custom headers and footers for specific page types. Integrated conditional logic in Liquid to render different templates dynamically, creating a tailored user experience. Leveraged custom field plugins to enable easy customization directly from the Shopify admin panel.
  • Managing Inventory Across Locations Implemented Shopify’s multi-location inventory feature to centralize stock tracking across multiple locations. Enabled geolocation-based inventory visibility, allowing users to view stock availability based on their location.
  • Integrating Maps on Product Pages Integrated the Google Maps API to display inventory locations dynamically on product pages. Configured each product to include associated location data (latitude and longitude) for accurate, real-time updates on the map.
  • Execution and Project Management Fostered collaboration through brainstorming sessions and workshops to drive innovative solutions. Used tools like Trello and Asana to assign tasks, track progress, and ensure streamlined delivery. Conducted regular workload assessments and reallocated resources to maintain efficiency and timely project completion.
